No, I haven't started in on Christmas preparations yet. But I did see that Costco brought out some of its holiday decorations this week. Aye!
Yesterday (August 22) Jason ate the last of our 2011 Christmas cookies. (They've been in the freezer, so they were safe.) Jason wants to attribute this to his self-discipline and rationing. But anyone who knows him knows that's a joke. I think it was more a tribute to just how much I over-baked. I guess you could say I was really excited about baking last Christmas. After having been out of the country and not having a real oven/access to ingredients for several years, I went over board.
So my goal for this year (when I start thinking about it in 3 months) will be to tone it down a bit.
